Unique and fascinating lectures based on the life and work of the author and anthropologist, Dr. Naomi Shmuel.

Lectures for the general public:

These lectures are based on my life story, and concern issues of identity and belonging. For example:

  • The life and works of the author and poet Karen Gershon, my mother, who arrived in England on the Kindertransport before World War 2, her parents were killed in the Holocaust.

  • The Ethiopian Jews in Israel as experienced through my life and research, as well as issues facing the second generation.

  • The stories behind the books, and my experiences as an author in Israel.
